Project of Stemo awarded with first place in the IT Project of the Year contest


The award ceremony for the winners in 2017 in the traditional IT project of the year contest was held on 21 February 2018 at Grand Hotel Sofia. The contest is organized by ICT Media for fourteenth year. The aim of the initiative is to distinguish the most significant, large-scale and efficient IT projects for the building and use of information systems and solutions in Bulgarian companies, enterprises and in the national institutions performed during the respective year of the competition.
25 IT projects participated in total in the disputed race, 11 of which were fulfilled in the public sector in the following categories: Central Administration, Municipal Administration, Healthcare, Education. The rest 14 applications were submitted by the corporate sector in the following categories: Transport and Logistics, Industry, Banking, IT and Outsourcing, Telecommunication and Utilities.
In the Transport and logistics category, the winner is Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company - an organization that implements various innovative solutions every year. This year, the awarded prize is for the complex project for the integrated deployment and use of SAP ERP 6.0 in all business processes within the organization, including a connection to the company's existing IT systems. The project is realized by STEMO. The prize was awarded to Ms. Anna Mihneva-Natova, director of Project management department in BPIC by Mr. Velik Zanchev, Deputy Minister of Transport Information Technology and Communications (MTITC). Ms. Mihneva-Natova thanked Stemo for the smooth and quick implementation SAP ERP system.
